The
main BUHO goal is it to provide assistance in Electric Market monitoring,
providing an interpretation of the market trends.
BUHO is an Intelligent Observation System, build upon artificial
intelligence techniques for pattern recognition in data analysis and allowing
for the creation of a set of rules to provide support or to modify the offering
creation strategies. It uses a conceptual hierarchical structure to transform
information into knowledge.
BUHO uses as set of observations historic prices of the energy
market, analyzes these prices by means of a cluster classification and finally
identifies potential anomalies, ranked by graveness.
The anomalies detected by BUHO are organized in the following
categories:
Statistical anomalies: The observed parameters are incompatible
with the probability distributions associated with the observables. Expected
values are updated from recent values using Bayes theorem.
Correlation anomalies: Observation of discrepancies in the
expected correlation between pairs of variables.
Strategic anomalies: The observations are in contradiction with
the forecasted equilibriums of the Game Theory model.
Thermical anomalies: The results for the thermical generators show
anomalies with respect the current use of this technology
Hydroelectric anomalies: The results for hydroelectric generatos
are in contradiction with what is to be expected with a rational use of
hydroelectric system compatible with the current storage and pluviometry
conditions
The interface uses agents dialoguing in English or Spanish using
natural language and voice emission to save user time, to the people in charge
of daily offerings.
