The Hydroelectric Planning and Optimisation
System provides assistance with the planning of hydroelectric production.
Once the plans have been defined, the system also provides the strategy
for optimum execution. The global integrated system is composed of the
following modules:
- Performance learning curves using neural networks.
- River reservoir inflow forecasting
- Optimum short, medium and long term planning using
dynamic programming. This takes account of: ramps, inflow and outflow
constraints, maintenance schedules etc.
- Generation of optimum economic strategies once
a set of plans has been drawn up.
