on the Web.
e-SIMULATOR accesses the click-stream data
warehouse to draw up and synthesise browsing patterns, and the use made
of site contents by visitors to a web site. It segments visitors in
accordance with their behaviour and preferences, thus providing the
Business with a high-level view of significant user groups and their
typical behaviour patterns.
The platform is used for analysis of the effectiveness
of organisation of the contents on view, through the relationships established
by the various user groups, and a facility is also included to measure
attraction and diffusion between the various components of the web site.
The user behaviour model extracted from observation
of their activities provides access, and employs the e-SIMULATOR to
provide tools for simulation of user traffic under differing sets of
publishing conditions. We can measure the impact of the changes before
these are applied to the real web site, and thus the platform provides
assistance with the definition of Web Business Strategy.
