The EVA product was conceived, designed and developed as a general tool by Aplicaciones en Informática Avanzada as the result of one of the main lines of research at the company: Transforming information into knowledge.

With this in mind, EVA was specifically developed as a general tool for assistance in decision-making processes.

EVA is a learning tool which captures the way in which an expert makes decisions through a dialogue. Once the expert has defined a hierarchy tree for the relevant concepts / variables within the decision-making process, this person transmits knowledge using binary selection processes (one of two situations). The result is that the product provides a linear discriminator with relative weightings of variables which, when applied during the categorisation and assessment phase, imitates the behaviour of the expert.
