Functions
- The algorithm provides SYMBOLIC identification of each
instant
, past or future, and makes use of the knowledge of the environment
provided by the user.
- Symbolic forecasting makes extraordinary use of SEASONAL
OR PERIODIC BEHAVIOUR PATTERNS, and provides a future projection
of the behaviour of previous instants which are symbolically similar.
- The system allows the user to FILTER INFORMATION, the
extraordinary nature of which may distort the forecast.
Technical Characteristics
- Algorithmic core written in C
- Bookshop facility, operatable using a number of programming
languages (C/C++, Visual Basic) in a Windows? system in DLL format.
Possibility of compilation for UNIX, LINUX.
- Includes a JNI layer (Java Native Interface) to allow
the system to be used with Java.
- Interface consisting of a small set of functions which
allow background and contextual information to be entered for the
series to be forecasted, and the results of forecasting to be obtained.
- Simple integration in Web applications, servlets etc.
